Your vote is needed: Help me get to Kerala!

Kerala Blog Express is an initiative by Kerala Tourism that offers travel bloggers an opportunity to take part in a two-week road trip through north and south Kerala in India.

On a whim and tipped off by Breifne Earley in the Irish Bloggers group, I decided to put my name forward for this, thinking nothing of it until today. Mom and I had spoken about Kerala before and it’s somewhere we both wanted to go.

This morning I got an email saying that the blog had gotten through the next stage, the voting stage.

Bloggers from countries all over the world are getting this opportunity and around 30 spots on this trip are up for grabs. Country of origin, the number of votes received, social media reach, quality of the blog and how the blog ranks in search engines will be taken into account when choosing winners. Voting is only one of the criteria but more votes will increase your chance of getting selected!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I would love to be part of it.

To vote for me, please follow THIS LINK (you need a Facebook account to vote).

A little about Kerala:

On India’s tropical Malabar Coast, Kerala has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It’s known for its palm-lined beaches, Western Ghats whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations and National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar.

With 33,387,677 inhabitants (as per the 2011 Census), it’s the thirteenth-largest state by population and is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state.
